Our teaching faculty have trained in classical ballet with the IDTA, RAD and ISTD. Each of our teachers is a strong technician in ballet and believes it to be a core ingredient in the succesful dancer. From Preparatory ballet to pointe work and beyond, we offer training to a high standard while encouraging each pupil to explore the enjoyment to be found in classical ballet.
Specialising in Modern Jazz, our teachers have a passion for this subject which beams through into the work of our pupils. Many of our students have received over 90 marks in modern exams and have been nominated for the IDTA Theatre Awards which is a prestigous annual event. Modern Jazz builds strength, flexibility and is a vital subject in the modern day dancer.
Our musical theatre department is a real favourite with our pupils. We offer high energy classes teaching all genres of musicals, from modern musicals to the timeless classics, our pupils have a lengthy repertoire at their finger tips. Drama, singing and dancing all rolled into one lesson whilst developing self confidence and building a strong team spirit.
Our gymnastics classes were launched in October 2013 and are very popular amongst our pupils! Each class is carefully structured to develop each pupil at a comfortable pace for them, combining body conditioning with flexibility and tricks in our fully equipped studio. Our gymnastics coach Jessica is a gold medal winning gymnast with lots of passion for this subject which shines through in her classes and onto our pupils. She has 12 years of gymnastic experience under her belt and enjoys nothing more than seeing her pupils reach their goals in class.
Our street dance classes are action packed and lots of fun, our girls street dance class learn energetic routines to the latest music exploring commercial styles and performance skills. The boys street dance class learn moves, tricks and routines to great new music and all have fun at the same time!
Tap is a great subject to encourage creativity and confidence whilst exploring rhythmic development. All aspects of dance requires an understanding of basic rhythm. The International Dance Teachers Association Tap Syllabus explores all avenues of rhythmic dance.
